My son was so shocked & then we went on & had a fun day. But it is fear of the reprecussions to us parents. In a day where parents get arrested in malls for giving their children a "smack on the butt", you are afraid to do anything physical to your children. They reach an age where spanking no longer works & reward & consequence are great. Then you have the child who looks at you with "is that all you got" when you smack their butts. That is when you gotta get worried & get smart. No need to hurt them but the "fear of God" & the wonder of what you actually will do is the best weapon sometimes. Sometimes the love & respect just won't work. : ) So it is about balance & learning & growing & I have sad news for you....every child is sooooo different! They all respond differently to different things, they all learn differently, love differently, & grow differently. And each & every one is a new learning experience. So anyway, was passing through & thought I would throw in my 2 cents. Keep up the good work & good luck with the end of the pregnancy. Great to see you have made it this far, you're almost there! Aside from all politacal affiliations and viewpoints, I get ill when I hear of all the people no longer supporting our troops oversees. They are fighting for us and even if you don't agree with the war itself, these people have given their lives for us. The least we can do is offer up daily prayers for safety and resolution.
