Gifts That Keep On Giving

Last Saturday we had another opportunity to join Pastor Age at his church in Sun Valley to help with a Christmas store for the neighborhood.

Staci once again stepped up and organized the day.  She did a wonderful job, and it was fun to watch a fellow type-A in action:

Moments Frozen In Time

One of the women from my small group honored me by asking me to take pictures of her and her son for their Christmas cards.  She picked a park that I had never been to, but I will definitely go back.  The location was breathtaking.

But, it was also freezing.

So, we did the entire photoshoot in about 20 minutes.  It was like the swimsuit models who have to take their coats off for 2.5 seconds while the shoot happens, then bundle back up to avoid being frostbitten in all of the wrong areas.

Okay it wasn’t like that, but it was cold.

I was also able to snag some new filters for Photoshop, so I had fun playing around with her pics… not really Christmas card material, but it was neat to have some fresh photos to work with.  The bleach filter was one of my faves:

Birds of a Feather, Flock Together

Monkey and I have been spending a lot of time outside, but there are some days where we just want to enjoy the views from the inside, looking out.
