The Photographer
Angie grew up in Parker, Colorado, but now raises her two babies and an English Bulldog in Castle Rock, Colorado with her husband of eight years, Travis.
Five years ago when their daughter was born, Angie’s love for photography became an obsession. Over time, friends were asking for her to take pictures of their own children, and very soon she was capturing the spirit of people she’d never met before.
Angie’s adoration for every nose crinkle and chubby knuckle on her own kids continues to inspire her photography, and her desire is to capture the essence of what makes your family your own.

Why do we release limited rights?
We release the limited rights to your photos with every package we offer. We know that on a typical family budget, every penny counts. We don’t believe in becoming the gatekeeper of your memories, and we don’t need to charge you for prints for the rest of your lifetime (as well as future generations!). Because those rights become yours, we are confident you will find our sessions to be a better value when compared to the more traditional set up of a small session fee, plus print charges.
If you decide to order prints above and beyond our included print credit, we’d be happy to help you place the order through our printing company, or one of your own, as part of our Keepsakes services.
How do I prepare my newborn for a session?
We understand that babies come when they are ready, so it is hard to schedule newborn sessions! Therefore, when you book your newborn session we will work closely with you as we get closer to your due date to ensure the session takes place within the first 7 – 10 days of your new baby’s life. Any sessions that need to be completed more than 14 days after the baby is born must be discussed upfront so we can go over details surrounding those sessions, as we would not consider those a typical newborn session and additional costs may be applied.
With our newborn sessions, we also highly recommend the baby has just been fed, or is scheduled to be fed, at the start of the session. A full belly typically allows for a nice long peaceful nap. We will work with you to set up a session time based on what works best for you and your new baby to ensure this happens. We will let the baby peacefully drift off for and mom and dad can sit back and relax as we take over your little one, capturing every little detail.
We also recommend that siblings do not attend these sessions. However, we understand sometimes it can be stressful to make other arrangements, so do not panic if they need to attend. Just please keep in mind the session is primarily about the new baby, so if siblings are going to attend the session, we would love to know ahead of time so we can bring things to help keep them occupied.
How do I prepare my children for a session?
Try to have your children fed and well rested before the session. Our sessions are interactive, so your kids will go home tired!
We recommend they wear solid colors. This does not mean you are limited black and white, as kids look great in bright colors, but try to avoid busy patterns and logos. Don’t forget to consider your kids personalities when making clothing selections. For multiple children, try to coordinate, but not all be dressed exactly the same. Don’t forget accessories and to consider fun shoes to add a touch of interest.
We will have time for clothing changes, but keep in mind the more you are changing clothes, the less we are shooting. We don’t want the kids to get bored by the time they have your favorite outfit on, so it’s best to make changes simple and quick.
Plan for your kids to take a snack break if needed, and bring something that is mess-free for them to drink and nibble.
How do I prepare for my boudoir session?
Prior to a boudoir session, we will work closely with you to help you choose the perfect outfits for your session. This may include his work shirts, sports clothing/gear or flattering lingerie. Keep in mind that accessories such as hats and heels can really personalize these sessions. We want you to wear what makes you feel comfortable, fun and sexy – your attitude is by far the most important thing to bring!
What if I need to reschedule?
No problem. We understand bad hair days, cranky kids, etc. can just make things too stressful to have a good session. We are happy to reschedule, and just ask that you give us as much notice as possible.
If you need to cancel, your deposit will be forfeited.
Do you do traditional portrait photography?
No.
We want your experience with us to be enjoyable. As a mom of two small children, I can say with almost 100% certainty there is nothing enjoyable about trying to get kids to sit perfectly still in an unnatural position for long periods of time. As a result, there is nothing enjoyable about trying to capture those moments! We would be happy to refer you to a portrait photographer in your area should you desire such photographs.
Will it always be More Sugar Than Spice Photography at my event?
Yes.
However, we are family owned and operated, and reserve the right to provide additional photographers to your event for training purposes and assistance.
