We are a family. We have built our business on family values and traditions, but we have added spice to make it our own flavor.

Pricing

Family session pricing starts at $300, which includes a $150 non-refundable deposit to secure your event date. This pricing is based on five (5) family members or less.  There will be a $10 charge for each additional member.

Belly to Baby packages include maternity, newborn and one (1) year old pictures starting at $800, with a deposit of $400 due at the time of signing.  We will also work with you to design a birth announcement.

Belly, Baby and Beyond packages include the Belly to Baby package and a 20% lifetime session discount, with a starting price of $1000, with a deposit of $500 due at the time of signing.

Boudoir sessions start at $275 with a deposit of $150 non-refundable deposit to secure your date and time.  These sessions are a relaxed, yet fun way to provide your husband with a gift he will never forget!  I will also provide five (5) prints up to 4 x 6 in size from this session, if desired.  Consider ordering your prints in wallet size, so he can keep them with him tucked behind his drivers license.   This is a great way to further strengthen or liven up your marriage!

Event pricing is based on size and location.  Please contact us today for our current pricing for weddings and other family events.

We will also allow you to reschedule your event as needed, ie. the kids are cranky, bad hair day, etc., however there is a $50 non-refundable rescheduling fee, which must be paid in full in order to secure your new date.

The forms of payment we accept are cash, checks and payment through paypal.

We feel very strongly that pictures are an important part of a family, so please don’t let the cost of our services deter you.  We are happy to discuss a payment plan to suit your budget.

What does your fee include?

The majority of our fee covers the rights to all of your photos.  This means we will provide a DVD including all of your finished photos, to be printed at your discretion. We don’t believe in keeping the rights to your memories, and we don’t need to charge you for prints for the rest of your lifetime (as well as future generations!) We want you, your family and your friends to enjoy sharing our work as much as we enjoy creating it.

Additionally, the time, talent and travel of the photographer are included in your session fee.  This is the time spent during your session (on average 1.5 – 2 hours) as well as the time spent editing your photos after the session.  We typically deliver at least 40 finished photos, and after you’ve reviewed your unedited photos we will edit up to an additional 10 photos for no additional charge.

You will also receive web access to your finished photos, password protected, for a minimum of six (6) months. This will allow friends and family to view your photos and share in your experience, should you choose to do so, at no additional charge.

More Sugar Than Spice takes pride in supporting non-profit and charity events. We often provide services to events at a reduced cost, should the event qualify. Please contact us today to discuss the details surrounding your event, and reserve your date.

How should I prepare for my session?

Try to have your family fed and well rested before the session.  Our sessions are interactive, so your kids will go home tired!

We recommend you wear solid colors.  This does not mean you are limited black and white, as kids look great in bright colors, but try to avoid busy patterns and logos. Don’t forget to consider your kids personalities when making clothing selections.  For family sessions, try to coordinate, but not all be dressed exactly the same.  Don’t forget accessories and to consider your shoe choices.

We will have time for clothing changes, but keep in mind the more you are changing clothes, the less we are shooting.  We don’t want the kids to get bored by the time they have your favorite outfit on, so it’s best to make changes simple and quick.

Plan for your kids to take a snack break if needed, and bring something that is mess-free for them to drink and nibble.

What if the weather is bad?

If your event is rescheduled, we will do our best to accommodate your new date, or we will provide a full or partial refund, to be determined by More Sugar Than Spice Photography. In the event that we are unable to provide services, we will assist with finding you another photographer. However, their rates and policies would need to be discussed directly with the new service provider.

Do you do traditional portrait photography?

No.

We want your experience with us to be enjoyable. As a mom of two small children, I can say with almost 100% certainty there is nothing enjoyable about trying to get kids to sit perfectly still in an unnatural position for long periods of time.  As a result, there is nothing enjoyable about trying to capture those moments! We would be happy to refer you to a portrait photographer in your area should you desire such photographs.

What if I don’t have an upcoming event?

No problem. We want to capture your family in a relaxed and fun setting. This can happen at your home, a park, at dinner or pretty much anywhere else. Simply pick somewhere that your family enjoys, and let us tag along.

Will it always be More Sugar Than Spice Photography at my event?

Yes.

However, we are family owned and operated, and reserve the right to provide additional photographers to your event for training purposes and assistance.
