A Peaceful Slumber

Caterpillar is getting bigger and is starting to let his personality shine.  He has become a total Mama/Monga’s boy, which is fine by us since Monkey was always a Daddy/Papa’s girl. He is starting to get closer to sleeping through the night, and his routine is finally settling in.

However, there are times when he still just wants to be held.  Sometimes, he is so afraid of me putting him down that he will take his tiny he-man fist and grab hold of my necklace, as if he knows that will pull me closer in an effort to keep the chain from breaking. Once he has his fingers wrapped around my cross, he goes back into his peaceful slumber.  I would love to get a picture of it, but that would be nearly impossible. (more…)

Can You Say ‘Bribery’?

You never really know what goes on with your kids when you aren’t watching.

One would like to think kids behave better when mom isn’t around, but according to the school reports last month, that isn’t true in our house.

However, Christmas break with the Monkey has been a lot of fun and I feel like we are back on the right track.  I have given her my attention as much as possible, and she has proved to be an awesome big sister.  (more…)
