Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Sleep has become a thing of the past.  My hips have been killing me, and my jaw has been especially sore lately.  I am in this vicious cycle of getting horrible heartburn after I eat, yet when I don’t eat I feel weak and tired.  I am cranky and slow. I am becoming impatient.

When I went to the doctors office last week, Dr. Bowtie wasn’t available, so we saw my new favorite doctor, Dr. Copenhagen.  The reason he has earned this glorious title is because around my second or third visit with him, I noticed what I thought smelled like cheap cologne wafting from his body as he was doing his exam.  It was a husky smell, mixed with peppermint sort of smell.  I actually figured one of his kids must have picked it out, because it was pretty stinky.  (more…)

Everyone Can See My Vagina

I have had weekly doctors appointments for a while now, due to the complications we’ve had.  I had one last Thursday, and later that day we were at Target and I thought I wet my pants.  It turned out someone (I am guessing it was Caterpillar) sneezed in my pants.  Guess that was the mucus plug.

As if that weren’t enough, since then I have sprung a leak.  It was getting pretty embarassing since it would soak through my clothes in public places, so after a few days of tolerating it, Daddy made me call just to make sure everything was okay.  I called in on Sunday and the doctor said I should come down, just to make sure the sac was still in tact.  I told the doctor on the phone that I felt fine, haven’t had steady contractions and asked if I could wait and just go to the office on Monday.  He said I couldn’t, that they will have to deliver if the sac ruptured, so we packed our bags and headed down.  (more…)

Thankful

Well, I know I haven’t written in a while.  I kept telling myself it was because I have been on bed rest and have nothing interesting to say.  What I realize now is that was just because I was not feeling all that well, I had a lot to be thankful for, and a lot to document.   I won’t cram all the posts in now, but the summary is this:  We finished the kids bedrooms.  That’s right, I said kids.  Still strange, but Caterpillar is set to arrive any day now, so I better start saying it.

Our last doctor appointment confirmed I lost my mucus plug and his head is down, so we are just waiting for the big show.  We are considered in the ’safe zone’ and our due date is less than 3 weeks away.  We are still amazed at that blessing, and we are trying to be patient, although I am about out of patience.
