Thanks Angie. I hope some of Brie does rub off on Emily, for Emily's sake. Life goes on and I cherish the wonderful friends and family that are in my life. :)

Heather,

I am so sorry to hear about Emily. I know I have done some (okay a lot) of things to friends that I am not proud of, so hopefully someday Brie's grace and love will plant a seed in Emilys heart.

Don't misunderstand that though - I can completely understand why you had to cut ties. I have had to do that at times in my life too... sometimes with people that should have been with me through thick and thin.

As far as Trav and I - I appreciate the prayer. I know we will find a solution, but I am ready for one NOW. LOL

Angie,

I agree with Melissa that you all look adorable in the pics. :)

My parents technically live in Parker, but way out east on Singing Hills Road. After living bascially on top of other people in California, they wanted some space so they have 1 1/2 acres out there and they love it.

Unfortunately, Emily and I had a falling out a couple of years ago. She was supposed to be a bridesmaid in Jon's and my wedding, but backed out via e-mail 3 months before. So, to make a long story short, I ended all communications with her at that point. I guess she has reached out to Brie since then (even though she pretty much left Brie in the dust too) and has wanted to rekindle things with Brie, so Brie being the nice person she is opens the door for her, but Emily never takes the next step to walk through it. I guess she is working in Parker and living with her mom.

I wanted to let you know I am praying that you and Travis are able to overcome any obstacles that have come in your way. It sounds like you have tremendous faith so you know that God will watch over all of you.

Take good care,
Heather

Heather,

I am so glad you are starting a blog! I will add it to my blogroll so I can keep up with you.

I didn't know your parents were in Elbert County. Trav grew up there and his parents and two of his sisters are still there. They are in Elizabeth and own a business out there.

I saw Emily on myspace, and it looks like she's doing well. Do you ever see her any more?

Blessings,

Angie

I think it's a great idea to have an online journal. You do a great job with it. I especially enjoy seeing the pics of you, Travis and Brooklyn.

I'm so glad to hear the pregnancy is going well. I'll make sure to check back here in July to find out the gender of the new Chillemi!

I was just in CO over Memorial Day weekend. My parents are still there (after a stint in CA for 4 years, they now live in Elbert County) and I spent 2 days with Brie, her husband and their 1 year old daughter, Ava. It was such a good time that it was almost painful to leave - as it usually is after my family and Brie and I get together. It's difficult to be away from family and friends, but Jon and I absolutely love Chicago - the city, our jobs, our house, everything! So, I have to be content with visits as I know things wouldn't be the same if we moved back.

You've inspired me to start a blog too - www.chipmanfamily.blogspot.com

It's good talking with you!!

Heather,

Good to know. I started writing it as a journal to get things out of my head so to speak, and then I kind of liked hearing what people thought about it. Then that phase ended and I felt like I was talking to myself out here in cyberspace. LOL

The bun is growing like crazy and is already feisty. We find out the sex in July and I cannot wait. I am in the good part of the pregnancy, so we are actually enjoying summer now!

Do you ever visit Colorado? Are you parents still here?

I'm reading your blog! You aren't talking to yourself. :) It's a great thing to read and I feel like I am getting to know the 'new' you or more like the 'real' you through your writing. It's amazing how much you have changed, although your quirkiness is still there. I'll keep reading and I hope we stay in touch. Best to you and your family!
Heather
P.S. How is that bun cooking? :)
